Gas Injection System

Terraform Industries is trying to disrupt the renewable energy industry by developing cost-effective hardware that converts solar energy from photovoltaic panels into synthetic natural gas. The three primary components of this system are the electrolyzer which uses electricity to split water into H2 and O2, an atmospheric CO2 capture system, and a reactor that synthesizes CH4 (methane) by combining H2 and CO2 over a catalyst bed at high temperature and pressure.

The Injection System was responsible for combining H2 and CO2 at a precise molar ratio and pressurizing the combined stream for injection into the reactor. This connected the three primary subsystems into an integrate system that delivered high purity methane for the end-to-end demo of this technology.
